Amalia's is defined by fresh ingredients, meticulously created dishes, homemade tortillas, tamales, plantain mole and salsas, sublime marinades, fresh guacamole mashed tableside, exceptional flavors … Breathe in the aromas of the finest Mexican cuisine imaginable… and smooth organic tequilas
Amalia's is one of the best places eat downtown without dressing up. In a more casual environment, this restaurant serves very delicious mexican food. The happy hour menu is amazing. With such good food at great prices. Amalia's is the place to go for a great meal.

I have dined twice recently at Amalia's, once for lunch and once for dinner. On both occasions the server greeted us promptly, professionally and was very friendly and helpful. The food was prepared with fresh ingredients, presented beautifully and tasted phenomenal. By far the best mexican food in Bend.

Latin food cooked to the T. Do I begin with the service, the taste, or the salsa? How about the salsa. Well i dont what else to say other than WOW! The drinks were smooth, the people were lax and the dim lighting to set my appetite. I will be dining here again with my favorite amigos, lady friend or guy friend, or just my good ol self. 5 stars across board.

Excellent! Not your typical Mexican fare. Wonderful flavors and unique dishes for a very fair price.

On this one restaurant, both my daughter and I agree: this is our favorite place for Sunday breakfast. Often I order the peach and walnut crepe with cinnamon sauce and whipped cream. This morning's order arrived so freshly prepared that the tissue-thin crepe's edges were still crisp. I savored every bite. This is also one restaurant that knows what I mean by a very dry cappuccino. My daughter considers Sintra's eggs benedict the very best in town.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in Bend, had a chicken dish that was inedible, over microwaved, black beans served to the side were tasteless, as was salsa. On the way out, patrons followed who appeared to be over intoxicated, were belligerent, making rude remarks to guests dining outside. Our overall impression was that happy hour must be the big attraction.

My husband and I ate at Amalia's today for lunch. From the smiles we received when we walked in the door to the thank yous we got as we left we really enjoyed our time there. I ordered one of their lunch specials - Beef Mole, and it was delicious. My husband ordered a chicken dish and also loved it. The service was excellent and the freshness of the food was great. Great prices too. We'll definitely go back!

I have gone there about 3 times now when they do their locals night deals on Tuesdays 4-6 and been very pleased every time! Great prices and great food. The Cilantro Margarita is awesome, actually all their drinks are great! Only 1 complaint, if you go any other time prices are a little higher then expected.

I Heart Amalia's! The four amigos (me & three of my best buds) paid a happy hour visit to Amalia's this week (April 11, 2011). We know this fave restaurant and are frequent satisfied customers... so we do what we know when we want great Mexican food!
Two of us took advantage of the super-priced Hub beer at just $2.50 during happy hour. The other two in our group, as always, ordered the house margarita priced during HH at $4.95. I ordered the pollo al mole verde from the dining menu ($14.75) and savored the rich flavors. Other dishes on the table included happy hour appetizers and all plates were wiped clean with tortillas! Great food and great value.

This place has great food, and it is fun because it is not the same old mexican food you get at every mexican restaurant. And I don't feel like I'm leaving with a gut full of grease when I leave there

I took my son and daughterinlaw for lunch 12/26, the place was busy and the people kept coming...the chips and dip were excellent, one of the best bean dip i've ever had, the server was swamped but polite, courteous and professional, I had the soup and it

Not impressed in the least. Slowest, most inattentive service ever!

Many other diners have raved about how good the food was here, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed, especially for the price (most dinners are around $15). The salsas were thin and watery; the chips were over salted. The drink menu was not up to da

We came to Amalia's with a party of 4. There was plenty of seating inside, but WE wanted to sit outside. So, we waited for a table. It took about a half hour, and while we waited they comped us two rounds of free drinks. It was our choice to sit outside a

My meal was fantastic, I had the Molcajete Mixto. I did not care for the first Margarita I tried which was the Pineapple Red Chili Margarita but the Blackberry Mango one was much better. My husband got some kind of fish dish which seemed to be underdone,

The "soft" opening a couple of week's ago produced excellent fanfare of delectable nibbles of huge seared prawns over mushrooms and grilled peppers; the juiciest chicken breast I ever had over grilled cactus and though I prefer this "heart-healthy" cuisin
