1024 Bond St., Downtown, Bend, Oregon, 97701 Neighborhood: Downtown
Experience the culture of authentic, homemade Portuguese cuisine at Caf? Sintra in Sunriver and downtown Bend. Enjoy espresso drinks and home made pastries, in a semi-casual atmosphere. ~Now with Free WiFi at both locations~
I have been here quite a few times now - with groups of 15, 8, and two. The atmosphere is open and airy (great for business lunches as the seating affords ample room for tailored conversation, nice color scheme as well. The service is timely, the owner is nearby and gracious. The food? Uncomplicated, yet creative. Fresh, excellent presentation. Value? I think it is one of the best places in Bend for lunch.

Cafe Sintra is one of Bend's crown jewels! The atmosphere is great, the service is top-notch. Breakfast potatoes are the best. My only complaint is they aren't open for dinner!

I had never been here before, and I got a gift card, so my friend and I walked down one morning... It was great! We got coffee (free refills) and I got an omlette and she got a crepe. Both were delicious, and they easily and gladly added extra ingredients to my omlette. The atmosphere was cool, soccer playing, cool photos, we hung out and chatted for about 2 hours drinking coffee and they were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. I'm going to go back, because when we left I saw someone's waffles and they looked delicious.

We had lunch there and were amazed. I had the Sunriver Bistro (sandwich). The bread was amazing, as were the meats. The wife had a special turkey sandwich that was great too. Also, the kettle chips were warm and fresh. We looked at the breakfast menu and plan on returning real soon!

Cafe Sintra is easily one of the best places to have breakfast or lunch in Bend. The eggs Benedict are a revelation and deserve recognition as some of the best in town, maybe even the best. The people in here are also nice all of the time and really make everyone feel welcome as they serve you.

I went here for breakfast and loved it so the next day I went again for lunch. Great food and service.

Cafe Sintra.....local vibe with friendly employees, food is genuinely authentic and presents a unique taste to the modern cafe repertoire and sends you down the Portugal cuisine menu. Atmosphere is authentic boasting local artist pieces and simple yet modern feel. Price is not outrageous yet enough to let you know they actually cook their food and use local materials. Bring the family bring the girl you need to break the ice with or just go solo while catching up on the newspaper.

Great place to eat for breakfast or lunch. Two favorite dishes - LOVE the eggs benedict and the Portuguese stew! Peach crepes are also incredible as are the palmiers.

Very good place for Breakfast! I love the pancakes! Service is good, great location Downtown. I have also been to the Sunriver one numerous times for lunch and their salads and soups are awesome. I had a salmon chowder last winter that was heavenly! Definitely a must try!

A group of friends and I eat here for breakfast every week. Consistently, their food and service are outstanding. The presentation is beautiful, the food is full of wonderful flavors, it is hot, the plates are warmed, the service is fantastic. The owner is often there assuring quality, the restaurant and restrooms are always clean. I highly recommend!

I would not have thought of Cafe Sintra for breakfrast but after going with a friend I have to say I enjoyed it and the food was great.

Great sandwiches mainly due to the wonderful roll/bread they use and the little touches like arugula in the Rustica turkey sandwich. A little pricey for me, but highly recommended.

I don't remember much about the food because the rude and awkward service is all that sticks out in my mind. The lady was so uppity it was almost hard to believe, like it wasn't just shyness, it was just really really rude, like she was doing us a favor..

I've eaten at Cafe Sintra numerous times and have been pleased every time. There was only one time that the Portuguese stew (beans) were undercooked. But all and all the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff very friendly!

The food is flavorful and "clean" tasting. The staff is friendly and wonderful. Bom Dias are the best!!

Cute place downtown but very unimpressive. I'd hoped for a wonderful breakfast, but was greatly disappointed. Lunch another day was also very ordinary. I've not been back.
