CHOW Restaurant is simply about food and wine. We are a sustainable business and our approach to food, wine, and business, and most importantly, our community is the same - Keep it simple, let true and intense flavors show, simply.
My husband and I went there for the first time for lunch and it was very good. The waitress was very friendly and helpful! We would definitely try breakfast next time.

This restaurant is better than extraordinary! The food is great, the service is superb and the atmosphere is like no other! I recommend CHOW to locals as well as anyone simply looking for a great spot in Bend!

As a person with celiac disease (aka extreme gluten intolerance), CHOW is my first choice for breakfast or lunch. I had the gluten free banana pancakes and I can't wait to try the gluten free french toast next time. The service is timely and easy-going, and they have a separate menu for gluten free. The daily specials have always been seasonal and unique; my boyfriend really loves the occasional hamburger specials. Overall CHOW is my favorite restaurant in Bend.

I LOVE Chow... They use ingredients that are as local as possible and it's always been amazingl prepared. My favorite is the warm grain salad with sweet potatoes... I could eat it every day!

This restaurant advertises to be "Vegan Friendly" and although there were only a few vegan dishes listed on the menu and board....the chef is willing to accommodate a vegan diet. The server recommended that I try the "Vegan Surprise" (which is not listed) and it was delicious. Tofu scrambled with a variety of fresh veggies and spices with a side of delicious potatoes.
My husband, who is not vegan but does want to eat healthy whole grains, had the Toasted Oatmeal Pancakes with blueberries and he said they were fantastic...he loved them.
The service was excellent and very friendly.
This was our first meal at Chow's and we will definitely be going
back . Prices seemed a bit spendy, but it's Bend and the meal was worth every dollar.

Chow is a love/hate relationship for me. I've had some of the best meals of my life there, and some of the worst. Not sure why there is so much inconsistency there. One thing I can always count on being great is the vegan breakfast gravy on top of the potatoes.

I was a little bummed after my breakfast at Chow. I was there a long time ago, and it was really good. However, I went this morning for breakfast, and was not impressed. Our waitress kept asking if we wanted gorgeous fruit and gorgeous everything else, and told us the special - which sounded epic (omlette with asparagus, spinach, apple chicken sausage and goat cheese) It just wasn't up to par. The goat cheese was not noticable, and when asked, we were told that some hard goat cheese was lightly grated on top of the omlette. Couldn't taste it. I have heard they specialize in more of the eggs benedicts etc... so I will have to try that. Overall, it was very expensive for what we got. We got a side of fruit and oatmeal, and it wasn't that good. Hope next time is better. Also, drip coffee was $3... seemed a little steep. But the mugs were really cool. And the atmosphere was nice.

I love this place for breakfast. The food is fresh, the service wonderful, and in the summer I can sit outside with my Springers. Perfect! And the black sunflower sprouts are yummy.

Went for the first time on a busy Sunday morning. Had the 'Locavore' which is an omelette made with seasonally fresh ingredients. Listed on the menu as $8.50 The omelet was good, had Tillamook cheddar, zucchini and cubed ham. Came with a smallish broiled tomato. When I got the bill, the omelet was now priced $13! my partner pointed out that somewhere in fine print had been the words "market value". His scramble which also priced around $8 had also been marked up $5 on the bill...come on! market value for what? a few slices of zucchini? for a few cubes of ham? The food would have been good had it cost the menu price..but for $13, way overpriced...feel screwed over and probably won't return.

Everything i've ever had at Chow was spectacular. With an emphasis on fresh and local ingredients, the food is crazy delicious. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and laid back, perfect for a low key breakfast or lunch in Bend. The service is also great. Everyone is fun and welcoming.

I have tried to enjoy Chow 2 different times and have been disappointed. Chow has good food but the service has been terrible both times I went. I would eat here again but only take out.

Get there early or expect a long wait. If you have time the 30-45 min to get into the door are well worth it and the food is wonderful. Its rustic and fresh cooking.

Chow has a great menu - one of those places that you can't decide what to order because everything sounds so good. Fresh ingredients, inventive presentations, friendly wait staff and a cozy atmosphere all beckon you to come back again and again. The French toast made with LaVoy brioch is to die for! Also outstanding is the smoked salmon hash and biscuits with chorizo gravy.

Good food, nice pleasant atmosphere looking out into a garden while you have a good breakfast. Good way to start the day.

What a great restaurant this is! Unbelievable flavors in every breakfast, superior daily specials, perfect presentation on the plats, and a very clean restaurant. The owners are often there, so quality is assured. It's easy to miss this place even though it is right across Newport Ave from Newport Market, because the signage is all one color and blends with the building too much, we have recommended better signage for visibility. The service is fantastic and attentive, prices are very good.

Excellent quality and appearance of food. I liked the variety of the gravies for the Chicken Fried Steak, especially the Chorizo and the Red Eye. Portions are a little small, but the taste and uniqueness make up for it. Oh, and we used the coupon from the Facebook site for the Eat Guide.

Overall, good food and atmosphere, but the service the times we've gone has been horrible in that's it's really slow. Once we made the mistake of going with our kids for brunch...took them 30 minutes to ask for our order, and another hour to deliver the o
