“Best Wine List” “portello winecafe is the
place for great food, great wine and great conversation” “…with a European style interior
and nicely prepared small plates…” “Standouts –
Super knowledgeable staff about wine…” (The Source)
Such a nice relaxing venue for happy hour rather than super noisy Old Mill or Downtown. Still fixed on the baked brie as steady favorite. what makes a difference is the knowledgable wait staff who are there when you want and gone when you don't. Ecerything was delicious and even the plates that were going to the other tables looked great. Well worth a visit

The wines are five bucks during happy hour and til 9 on Mondays. Place tends to be full by 5:30 on monday evenings. The food menu very limited and though I've eated here many times, and tried many of the items, find little that is tasty enough to reorder. They specialize in small bites and thats what you are getting, an extremely small portion of whatever you order. The sandwiches lack seasoning and the apps are unimaginative. Probably the best thing on the menu is the baked brie, which at ten bucks a pop, I can live without. Nice setting with interesting tables. Almost all are hightop. Be warned when the place is busy you may be waiting awhile for refills.

Went to Portello on a Saturday night, it was busy because they had some pretty good live music playing. The wine was really good, and the atmosphere was nice, tables as well as some more lounge-like seating. Would definitely go back

Lovely way to spend a relaxing lunch. Delicious apple, french onion soup and the star is the Bruschetta Plate which is hard to choose a favorite. everything was so good and then there's the Baked Brie. Worth taking a left detour to NW Crossing coming down from the mountain. Good value, fresh and helpful informative wait staff. five stars

Four of us enjoyed several different wines, as well as, port during our three-hour Happy Hour visit at Portello. A varied wine list presented us with delicious varietals ~ all at just 5 bucks. We shared the Baked Brie (with fig jam, shaved apples, pecans, port reduction), the Bruschetta (a board with 4 selections), the Antipasto Board and then topped it all off with a yummy Chocolate Souffle! The vibrant feel of the place, the excellent service by Erin and the great value on food & drink rank Portello Winecafe on the top of our list for the perfect place for a Happy Hour get-together.

A nice place to stop in and enjoy great wines with nice little snacks to go with. Kids are allowed in, so don't be afraid to stop by with the family for a nice lunch. The people here are also so nice and helpful and really welcome everyone. The wine list is great, the food is tasty, and everyone will have a good time.

love, love, love this humble yet swanky wine bar. Go for the bruschetta!

I really love this place, good atmosphere and good food. The bruschetta is absolutely delicious. My only complaint might be the price. Slightly overpriced in my opinion for a glass of wine and for the food. As my husband said, "$11.50 for bread with some

Lunch was fantastic for both of us. The Panzanella salad and Chicken and Brie panini exceeded expectations and the prices quite reasonable. Loved the atmosphere and service was spot on. Highly recommend Portello!
